Vatra Dornei (Suceava county), is located in a mountain depression with tectonic-volcanic origins, at an altitude of approximately 810 meters at the confluence of Golden Bistrita with Dorna, to which towards converge the Calimani Mountain peaks (south) - 2100 meters, Suhard (north-west) - 1932 meters, Giumalau (north-east)- 1857 meters. The Bistrita Mountains are located at about 19 Km towards to the east on the Bistritei Valley (1791m).
In the cold season here are available the slopes called Black Hill and Parc. The first one has a 3.000 meters length and the level difference is of 400 meters, medium tilt. The second, Parc slope, has a level difference of 150 meters, medium difficulty and medium tilt.
