Till the 23rd of September 2007 the Hyde Collection Museum of Art in Glens Falls, New York, will be hosting one of the most interesting exhibition of works on paper ever presented in the US. Reuniting 25 such works of famous artists like Vincent van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Pablo Picasso, Van Rijn, Claude Lorrain, Paul Cezanne, from the famous Ufizzi Gallery, the exhibition is a meeting place for several important masterpieces. Tracing from Renaissance art to the 20th century, the show presents works on paper ranging from drawings and pastels to watercolours and prints, from preparatory sketches for larger compositions to highly detailed drawings.
The themes are also varied, from studies of nature and the human forms to subjects from Classical literature and the Bible.
