To celebrate 250 years since the birth of the famous composer W.A.Mozart, Ateneul Roman will be the host of two extraordinary concerts, on the 26th and 27th of November, starting at 19.00 hours. Three famous musicians, Nicolae Licaret and the Duo Stenzel will present on the stage, together with the Symphony Orchestra (conductor Gheorghe Costin) and the Philharmonic Choir "George Enescu" (conductor Iosif Ion Prunner), some of the best creations of Mozart.
Nicolae Licaret is a pianist, clavecin and organ player, born in Bucharest, in 1943. He started taking piano lessons at the age of five, with Natalia Iacobescu. He made his debut while he was still a highschool student, at the Handel Festival. He the studied at Weimar and Brugge, and began studying organ with Iosif Gerstenengst. Nowaday Nicolae Licaret is one of the best known and most successful musicians, a strong and admired presence on the stages of several national and international festivals.
Duo Stenzl is maybe the best choice for the concert, this couple of musicians, the brothers Hans-Peter and Volker Stenzl, being a famous name in contemporary music. The two have managed to work together in perfect coordination and simetry, and nothig proved too difficult to them. After winning the ARD contest in Munich in 1986, Duo Stenzl has had concert allover Europe, North and South America, Africa, Japan, enjoying a tremendous success.
