- In 1978, Mihai Pocorschi, Eugen Sonia, Cristian Lesciuc, Boris Petrof and Radulescu Stefan founded the Romanian band Holograf. Two years later, Edi Petrosel and Tino Furtuna joined the band, remaining until today in the formation.
Tino Furtuna, Edi Petrosel and Mihai Pocorschi, with other two singers from Craiova, Gabriel Cotabita and Nicky Temistocle, launched the first album named Holograf 1.
In 1986 the band has a new form. Tino Furtuna, Edi Petrosel, Marti Popescu, Dan Bittman and Ion Olteanu are the new members. Just one year later the new lineup released the new album Holograf 2. In the same period the Marti Popescu is replaced by Iulian Vrabete and the form of the band remains unchanged for a long time period.
Holograf gains popularity and becomes one of the most apreciated and beloved rock bands in Romania. In 1988 the new album Holograf 3 is a success, being sold in over 200.000 copies. In autumn 1989 the band released the maxi-single Holograf 4.
The major changes after 1989 opened to the band the possibility to make their music known abroad and so between 1991 and 1993 there were many concerts in Holland. In 1992 Holograf released one of the most important albums, Money talk.
The year 1993 brings a change in the band. The guitarist Florin Ochescu is replaced by Romeo Dediu. Since then he is a member in the Holograf band.
Through the collaboration with Captain Records, an album with songs in English is released in Italy.
The album Stay in my lap, released in 1995, marked a change of style from hard rock to a more modern sound. In 1996 on the market appeared another album that went easy on the fans soul. Its name is 69% Unplugged - a collection of songs performed live, with acoustic instruments.
November 1998 brings the album Supersonic, whose single I gave you a ring, becomes one of the biggest successes of the band. In 1999 they released another album, Somewhere far, containing the song that gives the album's name and other nine old songs, reworked.
In November 2000 appeared the album that is considered to be one of the most successful from the band's all other releases, Holografica. In the first two weeks after being released on the market it was sold in 100 000 copies. Also the concerts that promoted this album were sustained by sold-out.
Symply, released in 2003 and followed by a national tour raised the sails record to 250 000 copies. Five hits uphold this album in the public attention for five years, unusual thing in a very dynamic market.
The year for the Taina album was 2006. The release took place in October 2006. After 12 albums of conception, after 30 years of existence, the things are just begining.
