The setting of the Easter market, the Great Square of the UNESCO-nominated Sibiu, is the perfect location for learning about Romanian culture and Easter customs.
The Sibiu Easter Market is a newcomer to the Easter market scene in Eastern and Central Europe. It is an event that sets the start of a new tradition. Established in 2010 as a result of the popularity of Sibiu's Christmas Market, the city's Easter Market promises to draw a crowd eager to celebrate the colors and warmth of the spring season and Easter holiday.
The Sibiu Easter Market is held during the 10 days before Easter. Visitors are welcome every day from 10 to 19 o’clock to visit this beautifully organized market and to choose some original Easter presents, ranging from delicious sweets, hand-decorated Easter eggs to fresh flowers and home decorations.
