The White Tower from Brasov, a beautiful city where you can easily go by train, bus or car from Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, is part of the external fortifications of Brasov city.
The White Tower is located on the top of the hill named Warthe. The construction has a closed semicircle plan, with the rounded part toward the hill, 18 meters high. The southern part, toward the city, has 20 meters high.
Inside this White Tower there are five levels of wood galleries, made in the past special for defenders and guardians. The upper side of the tower was provided with battlements.
The tower supplies and ammunition were made from the Graft Bastion, located next to the White Tower Bridge as a bridge over Graft channel to the internal fortifications.
According to old chronicles, the White Tower was built in 1494 or even 1460 and was allocated to defend the guilds of tinkers from the area.
