Every year, on May 17th the "Dimitrie Gusti" National Village Museum in Bucharest marks a new anniversary of this important and respected Romanian cultural institution. Only this time, in 2008, the museum marks it's 72nd anniversary, an impressive mark in time for a place that has seen it's share of good and bad over the years, but kept on evolving and growing as one of the most popular places in the city.
It is interesting that the anniversary of the museum comes just one day before the Museum's International Day, on May 18th, an event in which several Romanian museums will participate with special exhibitions and shows. For it's "birthday", the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in Bucharest will offer visitors a chance of enjoying some new presentations and shows. Besides new temporary and permanent exhibitions, several book launchings, CD-s and DVDs and other materials will be presented. As well as musci and dance shows, theatre shows, folk art and so on. All in all an impressive presentation, dedicated to one of the best Romanian museums.
