2. J.K. Rowling herself was offered a chance of playing Harry Potter's mother in the movies, yet she turned it down. It would have been interesting.

4. J.K. Rowling knew how the story would end almost seven years before the very first Harry Potter book was even published. She wrote a synopsys of the end and even if she didn't know how the characters would get there, that was the end from the very beginning.

6. Emma Watson didn't want to audition for Hermione, and she was the last girl to read for the part. Surprising, but she easily won.
7. Do you like Quidditch? If you are a Harry Potter fan you surely know this rather brutal sport, which had a long and fascinating history in the world of Harry Potter. 9. So far the Harry Potter books have been translated in more than 70 languages. And they keep on selling.
10. After the success of the books and the movies (not to mention toys, collectibles and games) Rowling received a surprising offer from no other than Michael Jackson, who wanted to do a musical about the boy wizard. Unfortunatelly, the author declined the idea.
