A celebration of Romanian literature at PEN World Voices: GABRIELA ADAMESTEANU
The Romanian Cultural Institute in New York is pleased to present this year one of Romania's most celebrated authors, Gabriela Adamesteanu, who joins PEN World Voices alongside other prestigious guests including Romanian born Nobel laureate Herta Müller, Martin Amis, Margaret Atwood, Paul Auster, Graydon Carter, Michael Cunningham, Jennifer Egan, E.L. Doctorow, Aleksandar Hemon, Etgar Keret, Tony Kushner, Luc Sante, Marjane Satrapi, and Ludmila Ulitskaya, to name just a few. Gabriela Adamesteanu will join the conversation "Resonances: Contemporary Writers on the Classics" on May 3 at the Baruch Arts Performing Center.
The Romanian writer is also featured in the highly anticipated "A Literary Safari" on May 4, at the Westbeth Gallery; join the writer for a reading from her recently published novel "Wasted Morning" (Norhtwestern University Press) and a conversation in the intimate setting of the Westbeth studios.
