From its appearance until now the Chamber Choir Preludiu was on an upward path, which has strengthened with each concert, year after year, the prestige of choir. Always regenerate, from the status of amateur choir at professional status, "Preludiu" has a special contribution to the transmission of artistic among public in Romania and abroad, historically standing out through its interpretive skills by the freshness and mean time through its maturity. The secret lies, of course, in the native talent and musicality of chorus, coupled with thorough musical education, but, undoubtedly, musicality, refinement and distinctive sense of artistic conductor.
The Repertory of the Chamber Choir Preludiu is vast, comprising over 350 works preclassical music, classical, romantic Christmas carols and religious songs, Romanian music and folk songs all over the world, vocal and symphonic works. It should be noted that all these songs are interpreted in their original language.
In the 36 years of activity (choir was founded in 1972), Preludiu has made about 250 radio and TV recordings, a disc "Electrecord and three CD (Carols and Christmas songs, Music Byzantine in English, Masters of choral art in Romania). From its appearance, the choir has more than 2,000 concerts in the great scenes from Romania and abroad during the 80 tours in 26 countries in Europe, America and Asia, as winner in several international festivals ( Pardubice, Nitra, Barcelona, Celje).
THe Chamber Choir Preludiu and the conductor Voicu Enachescu received Price for the exceptional program at the XIII edition of the International Festival "George Enescu" (1995), distinction awarded by the Union of Interpreters, Choreography and Music Critics from Romania.
