The British Museum in London is hosting a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition, offering the chance of exploring one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the last century, the famous Terracotta Warriors from Xi'an province, China. The now famous terracotta figures, depicting with a terrifying accuracy an army of inanimate soldiers, which seem almost alive, were buried alongside the First Emperor, Qin Shihuangdi, in order for them to guard and protect him in the afterlife.
The exhibition is a chance of seeing firsthand some of the terracotta warriors, as well as several treasures, artefacts and objects discovered at the resting place of the emperor, most of them never before seen outside of China. The curators will try to present the personality of the emperor who created China, in 221 BBC, telling the sory of the empire over the centuries through art, lectures and debates.
