- Margareta Paslaru was born in Bucharest on July 9, 1943. Famous singer, Romanian pop music composer and lyricist, theatre and film actress, she developed a passion for theatre as a pupil
Her musical way gained success early, in 1960, the year when she wins the first place in Bucharest at the Amateur Artist Festival.
The Romanian Television manages to dedicate a program to all the Romanian participants at the Olympic Games Rome in 1960. Margareta Paslaru appears in the show called Everybody does Sport and she sings in Italian language Picolisima serenada.
In her academical life she studied piano, ballet, painting, the improvement class besides the Central House of the Popular Creation, Camelia Dascalescu Class. - 400 performances with Three Penny Opera by Bertolt Brecht, directed by Liviu Ciulei, in the role of Polly Peachum.
In 1958, the student Margareta Paslaru debutes in the pop music at the Cultural House Red Grivita from Buchrest, accompanied by Paul Ghenter.
Her talent being discovered by some personalities of the Romanian music and show publishers from The Romanian National Television. Thus she appears in broadcasted shows from the House of Culture.
