The exhibition will reflect the personality of Samuel von Brukenthal as collector, stressing the exceptional values of his collections of paintings and engravings.
The project, a major curatorial attempt, intends to become a solid argument for the identity of the Brukenthal Museum in space and time , for the continuation and validity in time of the cultural model set up by its founder, Baron Samuel von Brukenthal, for the local, national and international significance conferred by the contents and outstanding value of the patrimony offered to the public and its solid thematic/scientific support (Liviana Dan, Mioara Ordean, Olimpia Tudoran, Valentin Muresan, Alexandru Ungu, Sanda Marta).
