Sibiu stood this year on the 5-th place in a top of the most desired european cultural destinations, after Rome, Athens, Paris and London.
Earlier this year Sibiu City Hall commisioned a study to show the Sibiu profile as a tourist destination.
The survey is conducted by the European Association for Leisure Time and Tourism Studies ATLAS.
From august to september 2009 were completed 600 questionnaires by visitors and persons who participated to various cultural events in Sibiu city.
The results from the report are not final. The second and the last phase of the study will be in progress from november to december this year and the final results will be announced in 2010.
