The famous progressive band Royal Hunt from Denmark will play it's first ever concert in Bucharest, Romania, on May 10th 2008, at the Fabrica Club, a rather small place, but slowly becoming a favourite place for concerts and metal gatherings. The official anouncements put a stop to rumours and articles on the Internet, that said that Royal Hunt will play in Bucharest or that the band will not come to Romania. Now or ever. So it was a pleasant surprise for the band to officially confirm the concert.
The concert is organised by Rocris Disc and is part of the "Paradox II" European Tour of Royal Hunt, promoting it's latest album, "Collision Courtse Paradox 2". The opening band for the show is the Swiss group Godiva and the Romanian band Trooper.
The band was founded in 1991 in Denmark by the current bandleader, Andre Andersen, nowadays the only original member of Royal Hunt that still is in the band Despite the frequent changes and departures from the band, Roayl Hunt kept on going and up till now has released 16 records, LPs and Eps, all reasonably successful world wide. Due to their progressive and complex, easily recognisable style, Royal Hunt is one of the most respected and influential bands, gathering a cult following over the years. So for music fans of all kinds, but especially for metal fans, the concert at the Fabrica Club is bound to be a success.
