Roger Waters, the bass player, singer and composer who became famous during his years as one of the members of legendary band Pink Floyd, has recently announced that he would be back on the road in 2017. There had been a lot of speculation about the future of the 73 years old artist. Some were sure that he would announce his retirement, others that a new solo album was in the works or maybe even ready to be released, yet surely nobody could have expected such a piece of news. The new tour, titled "Us + Them", will begin on May 26 2017 with a show in Kansas City and will conclude on October 28th 2017 in Vancouver. There is no information about an European tour, but the fans can only hope that Waters will play there also in the future.
Following the massive success of previous tours such as The Dark Side of the Moon Live (2006-2008) or The Wall Live (2010-2013), Roger Waters seems to be preparing some interesting surprises, as he has so far refused to talk about the setlist. All that the musician has said is that the new songs will be about 75 percent old stuff and 25 new stuff, most likely bringing together his Pink Floyd and solo years, and all of it will be connected by a general theme. And, as usual, those who attend a Roger Waters concert will most likely see not only a complicated, expensive and unforgetable production, but also will be able to listen to one of the top performers today.
