Romanian born Roxana Marcoci is a curator of MoMA’s Photography Department, where she organized numerous exhibitions, such as Projects 73 – Olafur Eliasson: seeing yourself sensing (2001), Thomas Demand (2005), Comic Abstraction: Image-Breaking, Image-Making (2007), Projects 85 – Dan Perjovschi: What Happened to Us? (2007), New Photography 2008: Josephine Meckseper and Mikhael Subotzky (2008), among many others. Author of many exhibition catalogues and articles, Mrs. Marcoci is the recipient of MoMA’s first Janice H. Levin Fellowship, Department of Painting and Sculpture (1999), the Lee Tenenbaum Award (2004 & 2006), as well as the recipient of fellowships from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University (1991), the Romanian Foundation, Bucharest (1991), the Center for Curatorial Leadership, NYC (2011).
