The Norwegian capital Oslo will be the host of an important cultural event, the Oslo Open 2007, between 3 - 13 May 2007
OSLO, NORWAY.- A new and exciting art event is taking place between the 3rd -13th of May in Oslo, the Oslo Open 2007. For ten days the art lovers will have the chance of discovering, buying and selling the workd of more than 400 artists from all over. While the artists which have studios in Oslo will open them for the public, who will have the chance to watch and learn how a work of art is made, those who come from abroad will live in a container village, at Tullinlokka, next to the National gallery, where a scene will also be installed. Besides the works of art the visitors have the chance to attend a film festival, various performances and other events.
Some of the works will be put on sale on the spot at a low price, during a special auction with works from all of the participating artists, promoting Norwegian young artists, as well as foreigners and making Oslo a hot spot on the map of the international art world.
