- Born on February 1 in Ploiesti county, Romania, Nico always wanted to sing. Her greatest wish was to become an artist. She is convinced that the life offered her many beautiful moments and basically her life is wonderful because the music and family.
In 1990 she graduated the Popular Art School and from 1996 participated to many competitions, obtaining numerous awards.
The love for music and seriousness in what she does, or better said, in what she proposed to do, helped her to not give up on her dreams in the most difficult moments.
From 1996 until 1999 Nico received the award for the best vocalist of the National Festival of Street Theatres in Constanta. In 1998 wins the first prize for the best female voice at the Festival Ion Vasilescu and in 1999 ranks second at the Mamaia Festival, creation section. In the years that followed Nico participated for four times to the national selection at the Eurovision contest, along with Mihai Traistariu and Akcent, in 2006, reaching to the second place.
The years 2003 and 2004 meant for Nico the grand prize in Bulgaria, at the Discovery Fest Festival and other four awards at the Golden Stag Festival from Brasov, Romania, and in Kazahstan at Alma Ata.
Nico is very proud with her three albums, As you wish, Thought for them and Cast Away. In her career had collaborations with Bogdan Popiag, Puya, Costi Ionita and Laurentiu Matei.
Late in 2006 was released a new single, Cast Away, and from January 2007 released the video for the same song, in a modern way on film tape.
