Biography
Michael Biehn in The Terminator
Michael Biehn (born Tuesday, July 31, 1956 in Anniston, Alabama) is an American actor who starred in several movies including The Terminator (1984) as well as Aliens (1986), The Abyss (1989), Tombstone (1993) and The Rock (1996). He also played Officer Randall Buttman on Hill Street Blues.
Many believe that Biehn is a high caliber actor and wonder why he does not participate in acting more frequently and in larger roles. Biehn has commented that he would rather focus on family affairs (such as his wife, Gina, and his four sons) rather than be away from them on location much of the year with acting roles. Recently he has taken a variety of acting jobs, from big budget movies such as The Art of War and Clockstoppers to video games like Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, as well as television shows and independent movies, such as Havoc.
He starred in NBC's TV series Hawaii(2004), but the show was cancelled due to poor ratings.
A shot of him as Kyle Reese in the movie The Terminator was reproduced as the cover-art of the 1987 video game Metal Gear. Biehn was chosen as a model as he was then at the peak of his fame, and would be the ideal actor to play Metal Gear's protagonist Solid Snake had Metal Gear been an action movie.
