To commemorate 50 years since the death of Marilyn Monroe the Getty Images Gallery invites everyone to admire a remarcable exhibition on March 7, 2012 in London. The exhibition will present a number of dresses worn by the Hollywood icon alongside unique photographs.
These will show Marilyn’s early years through to her rise to an international celebrity. There will be also costumes and dresses from the legendary collection of David Gainsborough Roberts, owner of one of the largest collections of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia in the world.
The exhibition from the Getty Images Gallery will provide every visitor the access to Marilyn Monroe’s life through photos, clothes, prints and short movies. The exhibition runs from Friday 9 March to Sunday 26 May 2012 and admission is free.
