Madeea Axinciuc: "The Idea of the Holy: Religion at Stake" at the International Symposia for Contemplative Studies Madeea Axinciuc, Associate Professor at the University of Bucharest and Director of the Religious Studies Program, will take part in the inaugural International Symposia for Contemplative Studies, facilitated by the reputed Mind and Life Institute this April 26-29, which brings together world-renowned researchers, scholars, teachers, and students from around the globe. The Romanian scholar's lecture, entitled "The Idea of the Holy: Religion at Stake," aims at revisiting key concepts from the field of religious studies (philosophy of religion and comparative religion) within the general framework envisioned by the emerging area of contemplative studies. Madeea Axinciuc's participation is supported by RCINY and the University of Bucharest.
