The exhibition Lux in arcana – L’archivio secreto Vaticano si rivela represents a great and unic cultural event: original documents will leave the confines of the Vatican City walls for the first time in history and will be admired at the Musei Capitolini in Rome.
There were selected over 100 secret documents and among the more famous are those about the trials of Galileo Galilei, of the Templars and of Giordano Bruno. The visitors can also see an appeal by the Parliament asking Pope to cancel Henry VIII’s marriage to Catherine of Aragon.
The exhibition celebrate the fourth centenery of the founding of the Secret Archives in the Vatican City by Pope Paul V in 1612 and can be admired from March 1 untill September 2012.
