Lili Almog is rather well known for her often controversial but everytime beautiful photographs, depicting the life and values in the Middle East. One such exhibition of photos is hosted at this time by the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Israel, depicting the lives of nuns in the Carmelite monasteries, the Carmelites being a Catholic order, founded in the 12th century on Mount Carmel. Actually, the photographs selected for the show have been taken in monasteries from Haifa, Bethlehem and Port Tobacco, Maryland, and are surprisingly alive, with scenes from everyday life and from the holy life.
