Larry Crowne is an upcoming comedy-drama film, directed by Tom Hanks and written by Hanks and Nia Vardalos. He, Julia Roberts and Bryan Cranston are starring in this movie, which is scheduled to be released on July 1, 2011 in the United States and Canada.
Larry Crowne (Hanks) was a superstar team leader at the big-box company where he's worked since his time in the Navy. Unclear on what to do with his suddenly free days, Larry heads to his local college to start over. There he becomes part of a colorful community of outcasts. These were trying to find a better future for themselves. They often move around town in a herd of scooters.
Larry develops an unexpected crush on his teacher Mercedes Tainot (Roberts). She was very passionate for teaching and very unhappy in her mariage. Crowne lernt a precious life lesson: when you think everything worth having has passed you by, you just might discover your reason to live.
