Book Launch: "KOGAION. A multidisciplinary research at the sanctuaries in the Orastiei Mountains” by Timotei Ursu
In collaboration with Societatea Dacia Revival International and Cenaclul Eminescu, and as part of its 'Connect with the Romanian American community' Projects, RCINY will host on February 11 the U.S. book launch of Timotei Ursu's "Kogaion." The little known history, practices, beliefs and language of the inhabitants of current Romania more than two millennia ago, the Dacians, have sparked for the past century cyclical reconsiderations and controversial hypotheses. Part of a current revived interest in this ancient Romanian history, the recent book written by New York-based Timotei Ursu, and published in Romanian by DACIA XXI (Cluj-Napoca), brings forward a series of findings and hypotheses aiming at identifying the location, purpose and functioning, of what seems to have been Kogaion, "the Sacred Mountain of the Dacians." In the presence of its author, Timotei Ursu, and with an introduction by critic M.N. Rusu. IN ROMANIAN ONLY. Free admission.
