After the success of B'ESTFEST 2007, the 2008 edition will have a special day, B'ESTFEST AFTERSHOCK, on July 11 2008, at the Romexpo complex. This day is dedicated to one of the best bands in heavy metal music, JUDAS PRIEST, the band coming for the very first time to Romania, a concert that has been anxiously awaited by all fans. Judas Priest is one of the best bands of the last decades rock music, one of the most influential ever and also one of the best live bands. While the previous year was a success due to the concert of the living legend Alice Cooper (aside other bands) this time Emagic Entertainment (the organisers) are betting on a group that knows how to put on a show. The concert is part of the new world tour, promoting the new Judas Priest album, titled "Nostradamus", which is bound to be one of the best in their whole career.
Founded in 1970 in Birmingham, Judas Priest has been around in the heavy metal world for over three decades and in all of these years has practically defined the genre, releasing 15 studio albums, 4 live one, several best-of compilations, leaving their mark on music industry, rock fans and countless other bands. Aside from it's interesting and diverse, fast and metal songs, Judas Priest is also renowned for it's live shows, combining heavy metal music at deafening levels, leather clothes and spikes, Harley Davidson bikes and a Rob Halford that never seems to grow old, especially after returning to the band after a surprising departure.
With this new show, the B'ESTFEST is becoming one of the most important music festivals in Easter Europe, as more and more bands, from various genres, have or will come to Bucharest, offering the public a chance of seeing on stage important names in today's music industry.
