Jason Patric (born June 17, 1966) is an Irish-American actor who has appeared in such films as The Lost Boys and The Alamo.
Jason Patric was born John Anthony Miller Jr., in Queens, New York. He is the son of the late Queens, New York-born, Scranton, Pennsylvania-reared actor and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Jason Miller. He is also the grandson of legendary actor Jackie Gleason by his mother, Linda Gleason Miller. Jason's half-brother is actor Joshua John Miller.
When his best friend Kiefer Sutherland broke off his engagement with Julia Roberts in the early '90s, Julia ran off to Europe with Jason, and the two were eventually a couple. He turned down the lead role in The Firm (1993), the role going instead to Tom Cruise. He also turned down the role of Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ (2004), which went to Jim Caviezel. Patric dated supermodel Christy Turlington in the late 90's.
Jason attended Don Bosco Preparatory School, a prestigious all-boys Salesian Roman Catholic school in New Jersey.
In 2005 he appeared on Broadway as "Brick" in a revival of the Tennessee Williams play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opposite Ashley Judd, Ned Beatty and Margo Martindale.
