Martin Scorsese produced a brilliant new film for children and parents. His movie tells the story of an abandoned 12 year-old boy pattering around the roof spaces of a large Parisian railway.
Hugo spends his days winding the station clocks or doing his best to continue the family tradition of clockwork-building. The inspector of the station is trying to catch runaway kids off to the orphanage and the owner of a toyschop nurses an obscure sorrow and is all the more vehement towards Hugo's petty thefts of springs and coils for his repair work.
Martin Scorsese makes a film about the love of movie and he tells us that the imperfect can be really beautiful.
