Hall Square from Brasov, city from Romania, was in the Middle Ages a place with fairs organised for both Romanian and Saxon merchants and also for those who came from Hungary.
The road to the market was at that time through the Customs street, today's Muresenilor street.
The Council House from the center of the market was the place where each merchant had to settle the merchandise. The city officials were there each time to ensure that these things were respected by merchants.
Near the Hall Square is located the Black Church, Smiths and Graft bastions, the towers White Tower and Black Tower.
Also here you can admire the Schei Gate and Catherine's Gate. Hall Square is probably the most famous and visited place from Brasov city. Here there are organised lots of cultural and artistic events and outdoor concerts.
In a project funded by the Ministry of Communications and the Information Society, in the Hall Square from Brasov there was mounted an Internet antenna that allows free access to Internet.
