John Christopher Depp II was born in Kentucky on June 9th 1963 and it is one of the best actors from Hollywood on today’s top. First he was interested to have and to persue a music career because of his great passion.
His parents divorced when he was 16 and so he moved to Florida, where he got on the wrong way: bars, cigarettes, drugs and alcohol. The teenager droopped of school because he wanted a career in rock and roll music. He fronted a few bands, but the most successful one was The Kids. They had succes and Depp was accomplished. He and his band moved in L.A. because of some problems, where they start a new life. When he was 20 years old Johnny married to Lori Allison, which was the band’s make-up artist.
The band struggled among the competitive music market, so Depp - under the suggestion and advice of his wife - decided to try acting. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) was the first movie for the young actor. The Kids splitt up soon and Depp followed a life of acting. Edward Scissorhands (1990) brought him a huge success and established his choice for unusual roles, which always surprised the audience. He met Winona Rider, he divorced and described his new love as "the one". Three years later they divorced.
In the next years came an extraordinary run of good movies for Johnny Depp. Because of the great stress and his unhappiness, the actor began to take drugs and drink alcohol. He started a relationship with Kate Moss, but their often fights made them to break up. Despite his shameless private life, as an actor Depp was amazing and very appreciated.
In 1998 Johnny Depp started a relationship with the beautiful French singer Vanessa Paradis. They moved in Paris together with their two children Lily Rose and Jack. He continued to act in great movies as The Source, The 9th Gate (shot in Paris where he met Paradis), Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow.
Depp disappeared from Hollywood for a while, but he returned and played the extraordinar movie Pirates of the Caribbean (2003), which made 200 million dollar in only 4 weeks. He also starred in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and in Corpse Bride.
Johnny Depp was nominated twice for an Oscar and five times for the Golden Globe. Recently he was rewarded with a star on the Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
