 | GORAN BREGOVIC returns to Romania during his new world tour, with two important events, which will be certainly appreciated by his many fans. The first will be the Opera "Karmen with a happy end", a typical Bregovic work. The artist will be accompanied, as usual, by his famous Wedding and Funeral band. Inspired by the Balkans' tradition in folk music, not recognising any rolemodel in music, Goran Bregovic succesded in creating a style and a music, very personal and also very complicated, and also magically beautiful. |
"Karmen with a happy end" is such a production, the Bregovic opera being more or less a true story inspired by the gypsy way of life, one of those stories which combine drama and hapiness in the same frame. It is the story of Carmen, the famous opera character, in a gypsy world.
After the two performances of this unusual production, Bregovic will come on stage for an extraordinary concert, "Wedding and Funeral Orchestra", which will end his visit to Romania.
The two opera shows will take place in Bucharest, at the Children's Palace, on 13 and 14 October, at 20.00. The extraordinary concert, which will end his Romanian tour, will take place on the 15th October at the Palace Hall in Bucharest, at 20.00 hours.
