After the passing of two centuries since the death of the great artist Jean-Honore Fragonard (1732 - 1806), the Jacquemart-Andre Museum presents one of the least known parts of his work - illustrations - through an impressive exhibition. The curators will be presenting a collection of one hundred illustrations made by the artist, from the museum's own collection or on loan from all around the world. Despite the fact that Fragonard is considered to be an outdated artist, best in his own time, the works selected show a personality that was both tallented and skillful. Fragornard was one of the best interpreters of the scenes, values and ideals of his time, managing to illustrate them and capturing on paper and canvas the tastes and atmosphere of the past.
