2. Our Moon is about 238,750 miles away from the Earth, and according the recent theories it might have formed due to a phenomenon called "Giant Impact", when a planet hit our planet. The debris went into outer space, formed a cluster and later the Moon. And it is not round, whatever you might think, it is rather like an egg. And due to the fact that it doesn't have an atmosphere temperatures range from -200 F to over 200 F. A full day here lasts about 29 Earth days.
3. The Sun is the medium-sized star, actually a G2 dwarf if you want to follow the scientific qualifications. It is about 4.6 billion years old, the closest star to us - almost 150,000 million miles - and in hour ancient history several civilizations, such as the Egyptians or the Aztecs worshipped the Sun.
4. Aside from the poetic name, you must know that the Milky Way is a galaxy, and no matter how huge this group of gas, dust, stars might seem to us it is, according to scientist, just one of the galaxies in the Univers. Just one of several billions. In it's center it there might be a black hole as there is a huge gravitational power.
5. We might dream of travelling through outer space as we see in SF movies and TV series, but using our current technology it would take longer for us the reach the center of our galaxy - not to mention others - than we have existed on Earth. So it would not be any time soon to discover the other secrets of the Universe.
