The Municipal Enterprise of Culture, Tourism, Sports and Social Solidarity of the Municipality of Elassona organizes an exhibition of engraving - EX-LIBRIS - which will be organized in Elassona between the 26th of September and the 6th of October 2008. For this exhibition, opened to all interested artists, the subject is the famous and delicious Greek cheese, "FETA". "From Cyclops Polyphemo till nowadays ". Quite an unusual theme for an art show, isn't it ?
Each artist may participate with a maximum of five works. Each artist must send the printed projects before the 31th of August 2008. The name of artist, the address, the title, the dimensions, the date and the technique shall be written in pencil on the back of the work. The following elements such as the artist’s name, the number of copies, the title and the signature shall be written on the front side of the work.
The text "EX-LIBRIS-FETA" must appear on each of the engravings.

The rules of the exhibition:
Article 1
The Municipal Enterprise of Culture, Tourism, Sports and Social Solidarity of the Municipality of Elassona organizes an exhibition of engraving - EX-LIBRIS - which will be organized in Elassona between the 26th of September and the 6th of October 2008.
The subject of exhibition is the Greek cheese, "FETA". "From Cyclops Polyphemo till nowadays ".
Article 2
The competition is open to all the artists.
Article 3
Each artist may participate with a maximum of five works. Each artist must send the printed projects before the 31th of August 2008. The name of artist, the address, the title, the dimensions, the date and the technique shall be written in pencil on the back of the work. The following elements such as the artist’s name, the number of copies, the title and the signature shall be written on the front side of the work.
The text "EX-LIBRIS-FETA" must appear on each of the engravings.
Article 4
All technical devices are allowed except photography, drawing, electronic graphic and photocopies.
- The size of the Ex libris: a maximum of 13 / 10 cm.
- The size of the paper: a maximum of 20 / 15 cm.

The engravings will be accompanied by a brief biography of the artist.
Article 6
All the projects sent to the exhibition will become the property of the Municipal
Corporation and they can be reproduced without any economic benefit for the organizers.
The works will be published on the Internet to the following address: http://giortifetas.blogspot.com/
The judges will be represented of artists that will decide whose work can be used as logo for the Festival of Greek cheese "Feta". The logo can be used on files, on notepapers but also in any other places decided by the judges of the festival.
The exposed works will constitute the basis of an art collection, which the Municipality of Elassona will continue to increase on the occasion of each "FETA" Festival. All the works, which will enter into the municipality’s collection, will be catalogued and treated with the greatest respect.
Article 7
The artists participation to this exhibition does not require any financial fee. The organizers will reward the artist’s work, which will be selected with the symbolic sum of 300.00€.
Article 8
The artists who decide to participate in the exhibition shall accept all the terms of the regulation.
