Pablo Picasso was a genius and one of the greatest painters in the 20th century. Every year there are organized in his honore painting exhibitions. The highlights are exposed at the great event, which is taking place in Zürich and Vienna.
The Art Gallery from Zürich was in 1932 the first place who organized a museum retrospective of Picasso, which was arranged by the master himself. In addition to Picasso’s cubist works there are also paintings from the blue and pink period (early 20th century) and neoclassical epoch (from 1917)
The exhibition "Picasso – peace and freedom" is also organized in the Albertina Gallery in Vienna in collaboration with Tate Liverpool as a chronic of the history, especially of the military events. It contains dark paintings such as “Massacre in Korea” but also art pieces with the symbol of peace, the white dove.
