The famous Bran Castle, known also as Dracula's Castle, is being offered for sale by it's latest owner, Dominic of Habsburg. Although the price hasn't been made public, experts estimate the value of the famous castle at over 135 million dollars.
The royal family is hoping that a buyer will soon apear, one that would also appreciate the historical and cultural significance of the Bran Castle.
The castle was built in the 16th century as o fortress against the Otoman invasions. The royal family first moved to the castle in 1920 and would visit it until 1948, when it was confiscated by the Communist regime. After restauration, in 1980, it became a tourist atraction. It was returned to the rightful owner last year, who promised that the Bran Castle will remain a museum at least for the next three years.
