The four now famous Dacian gold bracelets, only recently recovered by the Romanian authorities, will pe presented to the public in a premiere exhibition at the National Museum of History in Bucharest. This event will take place on the 22nd of January 2007 at the Museum, in the exhibition "Dacia Augusta Provincia. The creation of the province". The bracelets, which were ilegally taken out of the country (after practically being stolen from a site in Orastie Mountains), have been recovered following a lenghty, difficult and controversial effort, with the help of other countries.

Thus it's value for Romanian history, other that it's pure material value, is huge and the loss of the bracelets would have been truly a tragedy. |
