The nation of Cuba consists of the island of Cuba, the Isla de la Juventud and of several archipelagos. The largest city is Havana and it is also the country's capital. Santiago de Cuba is the second largest city.
A holiday in Cuba is a marvellous experience. Beside the gorgeous sea and the white sand this island – the biggest in the Caribbean – has something special, something that sets it apart. The island’s extraordinary culture, its global controversy and the unique culture certainly makes Cuba one of the most spectacular destinations in the world.
On the streets are running ancient 1950s cars and the daily life in Cuba is characterized by the specific nonchalant attitude, where the genuine Havana cigar and the rum cocktail represent a “Must”.
One of the most impressive features of Cuban is the fantastic historic architecture of neighbourhoods and villages all over the island. From beautiful colonial buildings to the haunting, faded splendour of the capital city of Havana, those who visit the island will have the great opportunity to see some of the best Spanish colonial architecture.
An important part of the Cuban culture is salsa. This music with its vibrant spirit is holding the Caribbean island to life. It makes “la vida dulce”. Historic Havanal, imposing fortresses, rum distilleries and cigar factories and amazing beaches are just a few of the attractions that visitors can find in Cuba.
