Biography
Corbin Bernsen (September 7, 1954) is an American actor born in North Hollywood, California. His father is Jewish and his mother, The Young and the Restless actress Jeanne Cooper, is of Cherokee ancestry.
Career
Corbin Bernsen's big break would appear to be his role on the soap opera, Ryan's Hope, on which he appeared for three years in the mid-1980s. He was propelled into stardom however when he was cast as one of the stars on the hit primetime Steven Bochco television series L.A. Law. He was one of the few actors to remain on the show from 1986 until the show's end in 1994. He also was a primary character in the feature film Major League and its sequels. Since 2004, he has played the recurring role of John Durant on General Hospital.
Corbin is involved with Public Media Works which is releasing their first feature film Carpool Guy on DVD in 2005.
Personal life
Bernsen is married to British actress Amanda Pays. They have four children, Oliver, twins Henry and Angus, and Finley. Bernsen was previously married to Brenda Cooper.
Bernsen is a born-again Christian who also appears in Christian-themed films and programs.
