- Corbi village, called in ancient times Rock Ravens, is a village in Arges County from Romania, located at the foothills. This was the birth place of the Corvins, and now home to many mysteries, legends and historical monuments that speak for themselves about this place: The Giant Foot, castle ruins of Voicu Corvin or Haiducului stone are just some of the attractions of the place.
What makes this place very special is the Raven Rock Cave Monastery, a centuries-old monastery, excavated in a huge wall of sandstone sprinkled here and there with holes in the rock holes. Even if only attested in the 16th century, the monastery was established long ago and the pictures inside are the oldest cave paintings in the Romanian Country. They say that in ancient times, when was built the cave monastery, served as shelter for prehistoric people and other legends say it was dug by the ravens in the area.
Even if no documents are attesting to this, the place were today is the monastery is a sacred one since the Dacians, a legend saying that there was even the place where a dacian duke, Dromichete, kept hidden treasures.
