- Compact, one of the most apreciated rock bands from Romania, was founded in 1977, and the founding member of the group was Teo Peter.
After two years, in 1979, the group gains another two members, Paul Ciuci and Aurel Vasilescu, a friend from a rock festival in Medias, Sibiu county.
The band debutes at the begining of the 1980s with lots of personnel changes. The band remains formed by Teo and Lulut. They always were a part of Compact. Paul retired for almost eight years, during which the creation part was attributed to Adi Ordean and the vocal one to Leo Iorga.
In 1997 the band comes in the attention of the public in a new form with the members Paul Ciuci, Emil Laghia, Vlady Cnejevici, Lelut Vasilescu and Teo Peter. In 1999 Vlady is replaced by Dan Stesco.
Two years later the Compact group confronted with one of the hardest moments. On December the 4th, Teo Peter, the founding member, loses his life in a tragic car accident.
In 1985 the band releases the first album called The dream girl. In 1996 comes another album, Compact '88 - '95. I choose you is released in 1997, Song for friends in 1998, Compact 100% in 1999, From Compact to...another start in 1999 and in 2002, 5 Compact.
