Everyone knows that the Christmas and Holiday season is a great time to visit New York City. New York City hosts many different Christmas shows and events throughout the Christmas season.
At Rockefeller Center you can see New York City’s most famous Christmas Tree. The Christmas tree that adorns Rockefeller Center is typically a Norway Spruce and it is donated by someone who grew it in their yard. The people who donate the tree don’t get paid for it, but they have the pride of knowing that their tree will be displayed before the world.
Ice skating has become a favorite pastime for both locals and visitors. On Brodway everyone can enjoy the performance of great actors and feel the holiday spirit everywhere. One of the best free NY Christmas events that has remained a tradition for nearly 80 years is the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Winter is a great time to visit New York, because you can have unforgetable experiences: great holiday decorations, ice skating, Winter Restaurant Week or the Chinese Lunar New Year. You should be prepared for cold weather and snow because you're likely to spend a lot more time outside than you might inside.
