Located on the Revolution Boulevard at number 73, the Cenad Palace is the most imposing building from Arad, Romania. It was built in the late nineteenth century, by the railroad company Arad-Cenad, after the architectural plans of Jivaszek.
The building is a part of the urban ensemble of the city Halland it is representative for the eclectic architecture, richly decorated in clasical and rennaissance style.
The Cenad Palace is different from the other buildings and it is considered a veritable architectural beauty of Arad. The roof has interesting towers whose decoration reflects the specific architecture from Arad.
The Palace presents also some decorative elements who betray the meant of functionality. On the building there are decorative elements inspired by the god of commerge, Mercury.
Today, the building is the place where some public institutions conduct their activity and is also the center which is hosting some central parties and associations.
