Bruce Dickinson, the legendary singer of Iron Maiden, will release his autobiography on the 19th of October 2017, and surely the fans have already begun to wait for this surprising book. Although it is not a first for Dickinson, already a published writer, it will be a first class opportunity for those who have grown up listening to his music to discover the story of his personal life and artistic career as seen by one of the most influential heavy metal singers of all times. Titled "
What Does This Button Do", the autobiography will trace the years of somebody who is not only a musician, but also an airplane pilot and captain (he pilots Iron Maiden's plane himself), a writer, a motivational speaker, TV actor, fencer (and a very good one according to those who have witnessed him fighting), entrepreneur and last but not least a beer brewer. It may seem like a lot for a single person, but somehow Bruce Dickinson has done it all, be it music, writing or flying.
It comes to this book to tell how he did it. According to the publishers the autobiography - already available for pre-order - will narate his time with Maiden (over three decades), his childhood and musical beginnings, his solo works, how he learned to fly a plane, his battle with cancer (recently won) and more, much more than that. For those who have been Iron Maiden fans for a shorter or longer time, or for those who simply just want to read another type of autobiography, this is a title not to be missed.
