Foto: Cinemarx.ro- Geo Costiniu was born on April 23, 1950, in Bucharest. He graduated the Theatre and Film Institute, Theatre College, the Department of Performing Arts, 1973 Promotion.
From 1974 he was an actor at the Odeon Theatre and between 1973 and 1974 he was actor at the National Theatre from Iasi. The well known actor entered in the world of arts early, from eight years old, being coopted by a director after a school celebration.
As a teenager he was convinced that he wants to be an actor, after he had some representations at the House of Students. Before going to the Iasi Theatre he made his baptism on the stage from Bulandra Theatre, in a play directed by Liviu Ciulei.
At Odeon, his soul theatre, Geo Costiniu had many interpretations in plays from which we can enumerate Carlo against Carlo, French fries with anything, Winter when cangaroos died, The man who saw death, Gemini, Barber of Seville or Red Passion.
Geo Costiniu was also noted in cinematographical productions, having notable appearances in movies like The love is invincible, Marriage bed, Time Zero or A guest for dinner.
His talent made him in the views of all the Romanians an actor as good and handsome as Alain Delon. This was his nickname. Alain Delon from Romania.
