Artist's Presentation Georgeta Grabovschi
GEORGETA GRABOVSCHI began painting when she was just five or six years old and later studied at Nicolae Balcescu Art School, where she was soon noticed for her drawing skill.
In 1980 she enrolled at Bucharest University, where she studied History-Philosophy, finishing her studies in 1984. Meanwhile she continued painting.
She had her first solo exhibition in 1986 and the second one in 1988.
Between 1986 - 1988 studied painting with prof. George Paul Mihail.
After 1989 she started working as a professional artist, and in 1990 had her first Bucharest exhibition.
Over the next years she would continue to present her works in several galleries in Bucharest, such as Military Circle, GAMB,U Art, Casa Vernescu, ORIZONT and others.
During the '90s she was participated in several common exhibitions in France and Germany.
In 1996 she joined the Francoise Conte Academy of Art in Paris and passed the final exam in 1998.
Since 2000 she is a member of the Saloon of Independents-Paris and two years later, in 2002, she became a member of the International Federation of Women Artists.
2002 - member - Romanian Artists Associatian.
In 2003 she received the Silver Medail of the Merit et Devouement Francais Org.
She also had exhibitions in Paris, Nysse, Dusseldorf, Koln, Barcares, New York and many other cities.
May - June 2006 - she had two solo exhibitions in Spain, at Madrid and Gijon.
Many of her works have been sold to important galleries, museums and collectors from Romania and abroad.
Georgeta Grabovschi was born in Craiova, Romania, in the same region with the great Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi.
