Retart se vrea a fi un mod de gandire , un concept artistic o modalitate de exprimare cat mai simplista care anuleaza barierele estetice, tehnice si de concept pe care le poate presupune o lucrare artistic si se bazeaza doar pe experienta personala a artistului in timpul lucrului. retArt wants to be a way of thinking, an artistic concept, a way of expression as simplistic as possible which tries to cancel aesthetic, technical and conceptual barriers, that an artistic work may involve and it is based only on the artista€™s personal experience, while working. By improvising, the technique appears spontaneously. Each component of the work may be differently perceived, the whole image gives directions related to viewera€™s imagination. Everyone sees what his own imagination offers him.
retARTa€™s message is easily to understand, by anyone who gets related to it, at the same time not being a commercial superficial one.
As a concept retART has appeared once with the two involved artistsa€™ experiment, of drawing in Microsoft Paint, without any vision, idea, a certain technique or a message to distinguish. The only task was to create shapes from five mouse movements, that the other one had to develop with other five mouse movements. We create like this works as a€śholding handsa€ť, a€śfishnessa€ť and a€ścamouflagea€ť, which stood as a base for virtual exhibition http://retartdesign.blogspot.com
As a work method, retart doesna€™t follow the rendering a previously established image or shape, but by improvisation shapes and colors get the statute of an image.
From the feedback we understood that the message and the impact of any work differs from viewer to viewer, and if the personal experience while working is a deep, sincere and intense one, the work will give a nice a€śtripa€ť to the viewer, who will be able to make his one story about what he sees. retART tries to cancel the metaphor, hidden message, the technical and chromatic principles instead of an easily detected message, and of a random shapes and combinations of the colors.
Considering that anything is created by the human hand is an work of art, regardless the talent or skill wea€™ve began to manufacture retART toys, from old toys or re-useful materials. On the same principles it appeared retART animations, made with frames drawn in Microsoft Paint and put together in Movie Maker, same method as the one used at the appearance of cartoons.
