 | Andreas Gursky is considered one of the most important and talented of contemporary photographers. This surprinsingly original artist, born in 1955 in Leipzig, is now living and Dusseldorf and over past years has surprised art lovers several times with his creations. His works are easily recognisible due to the use of colour, his impressive supersize formats and last but not the least his used of digital image processing.
The Kunstmuseum Basel in Basel, Switzerland is hosting until the end of February 2008 an exhibition dedicated to this exceptional artist, bringing together a lot of 25 works, most of them recent, as they have been made this year. |
