Andalusia is the most richest region in Spain in terms of places to visit. The sun is shining most of the year and visitors are fascinated by the landscapes, the people, the culture, bullfighting, tapas and flamenco at every turn.
Sevilla, Granada and Cordoba are the top three cities in Andalusia in order of "importance" to the tourist, but Malaga or Gibraltar are also great places to visit. The last one, Gibraltar, is not actually in Andalusia, but it is sourrounded by it.
Andalusia is the land of culture, history and “fiestas” – unique popular events - and it is well known for its “fine food”, a range of delicious gastronomic products. In this region are many outstanding monuments and sites sites which have been awarded the UNESCO World Heritage designation.
For instance, in Granada visitors can admire the Alhambra palace, the Generalife gardens and the medieval Albaicín neighbourhood; in Cordoba, its historic centre with the great Mosque; in Seville, the cathedral, the Alcázar palace and the Indies Archive; and in Jaén, the monumental sites of Úbeda and Baez.
The variety of natural landscapes is also very apreciated by tourists. It range from the beaches of the Costa del Sol, Costa de la Luz and Almería to the extensive olive groves of Jaén, or the Sierra Nevada ski resort.
